How we got started...
Paw Pottery began in
1993. Kerri Verna was a local Laguna Beach, California artist.
Kerri's pottery was primarily a hobby consisting of craft and local art
shows. After meeting her husband, Nick, who also shared the same love of
pottery, they decided to move to Maryland to pursue their dream of owning their
own business. After 5 years in the cold they decided to fly south and move to
Florida. After relocating to West Palm Beach they have re-opened their
studio for business.
After selling some of
their pet pottery at local events and consignment stores, a pet store entrepreneur
asked if they could create a line of unique pet dishes. The first dish created
was the “Bella Bowl”, a.k.a "Personalized Dog Bowl";
A one-of-a-kind,
black and white dish with their dogs name on it. Since then, Paw Pottery has
grown into a small business and internet company.
All of the pottery is hand painted by Kerri Verna except the breed specific
bowls and the photo bowls which are the newest designs to be added to Paw
Pottery. All Paw Pottery
designs are not only functional for the pet to use but also are considered a
work of art. Each dog bowl and cat bowl are uniquely signed by the artist.
The Verna's pride themselves in making quality, handmade, one-of-a-kind pet
pottery. All of the pottery is hand painted with pet safe
glazes.
Any dish can be
customized to accommodate even the pickiest of pets. Paw Pottery wants to make pets
and the people who love them happy.
